Holland´s History

Holland´s Opticians has been providing ophthalmic services since 1977 and has had multiple practices in Harley Street, St Thomas´ Hospital, Kingston Royal Eye Unit, St Peter´s Hospital and Surbiton. Working mainly with Harley Street Consultants and eyecare specialists in various hospitals, Holland´s has gained a well-deserved reputation within the private sector and the National Health Service. Currently, Holland’s Opticians now practices from one branch in Surbiton (Surrey) that is managed by the sole Director Suru Fatania and his team.

Suru Fatania FBDO — Director & Dispensing Optician

The company is wholly own by the sole director Suru Fatania. Suru Fatania is a consulting dispensing optician who has an FBDO qualification and is registered as a member of the General Optical Council. He has over 33 years experience in LVA dispensing, spectacles manufacturing, dispensing and diagnostic work. He has been managing optician practices for over 15 years and has opened practices in locations such as Harley Street, Kingston Hospital, The Royal Eye Hospital, St. Thomas’ Hospital, and St Peter’s Hospital.

Suru Fatania recognises the importance of having a good rapport with both staff and patients and works hard to achieve and maintain this. He believes that he has earnt a reputation of professionalism and competence in his work amongst his peers and consultants who have worked with him and hopes to continue innovating his skills.

Gemmini Fatania & Business Development Manager

As Holland´s Opticians´ Business Development Manager with a Bsc Hons in Business Studies & Marketing, Gemmini has worked within the retail and service sector for over 9 years meeting the needs of the general public. As a manager, she hopes to create a sustainable balance between providing Kingston with a dedicated high quality service to the public & their eyes whilst being able to consistently improve the selection of frames and lenses available for Holland´s patients via research and innovation of the optical market.
